The Laser Stir Welding Process
Similar to friction stir welding, laser stir welding uses a non-mechanical, highly focused laser beam to weld the stainless steel material. We use a high density core laser beam which fully penetrates the wall of the tube, coupled with a lower-density pulsed beam surrounding the core beam to achieve a precision weld with a minimal heat effected zone around the weld.
