Advanced Tube Forming Capabilities

In addition to manufacturing Laser Stir Welded tubing, B2 Manufacturing can form tubing into near net finished products. Using B2 tubing or your supplied raw tubing, we can create many different types of end configurations.

These include:

  • Diameter reductions
  • Pointing
  • Specialized shapes and spirals

The ability to reduce a tube’s outside diameter to fit into the inside of a non-swaged tube makes this process ideal for telescopic applications.

Precision and Surface Finish

B2 Manufacturing’s equipment and tooling produce:

  • Superior surface finishes
  • Extremely precise dimensional consistency

Rotary swaging is a cold forming process that uses specialized tooling operating at over 1,000 strokes per minute.

Micro Forming for Thin Wall Tubing

This high-frequency micro forming process allows for:

  • Extremely delicate features
  • Precision shaping of very thin wall tubing

Unlike other methods, rotary swaging:

  • Does not remove material
  • Instead reforms it into a high-precision finished part

Applications Beyond Tubing

While rotary swaging offers significant advantages in tubing applications, it is also highly effective for:

  • Solid rod
  • Bar applications

Cost-Effective Tooling and Assembly

B2 Manufacturing maintains an extensive inventory of form tooling for our swaging machines, which helps:

  • Eliminate tooling costs
  • Greatly reduce lead times

Rotary swaging is also an excellent method for:

  • Assembling multiple parts into a single component
  • Eliminating the need for welding or other costly joining processes
